What not to miss?

Dracula’s Castle

Dracula's Castle, also known as Bran Castle, is located in Bran, just outside Braşov. It is almost in the middle of Romania, and here you can find beautiful nature. In that beautiful nature, you can find the bizarre large castle of Bran.

This was the castle where Dracula lived if the myths were to be believed. Dracula is the most famous vampire, portrayed in today's society as something elegant. However, for those who do not know him, I will briefly explain who Dracula was. Dracula was an evil vampire whose purpose was to feed on the blood of young women. Dracula was made up but was based on a real person, namely Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia. This man was known everywhere in Romania.

In reality, the Castle has nothing to do with this. The myths are based on the story of Dracula, written by Bram Stoker. He painted Dracula's castle based on a description of Bran Castle.

If you want to know the real history of this castle, you can read it on this site http://www.bran-castle.com/

Corvin Castle

This castle is one of the most beautiful castles in Romania and one of the largest in Europe. Romania also sees this Castle as one of the seven wonders of Romania. This castle is in Hunedoara, more on the left side of the country. The history of this Castle is a dark one, so this one is not for scary readers!

They worked for a long time to make this castle, and it has also been destroyed several times. One thing always remained, and that was the doors to the dungeons. Here, 3 Turkish prisoners were locked up for many years. They were promised that if they dug until they found water, they would be released. It took them more than 15 years to reach water, and they would be freed from their suffering. Only the man who had made the promise was deceased, and his wife had other plans. The Turkish men were thrown back into prison, and one of these men wrote on the wall, "You have water, but no soul" With these words, he cursed the castle.

The dungeon had had a lot of prisoners over time. So there was a torture chamber and a room where there were live bears. If you were declared dead, you were thrown into the room with the bears to be devoured. We don't really know how many, but many people have died in this castle.

If so many people have been killed, it must be haunted. And that is confirmed to this day. For example, a monk was bricked into the wall because he was said to be a spy. It is said that he would still be spying in the castle. They have also heard that people hear footsteps, see shadows, and feel hands on their backs. If you want to visit this castle, you should be open to what you can see/hear and feel!

The Devil’s Precipice

This large and special place in Prahova is very interesting for treasure seekers. It is a few kilometers from the village of Poiana Treistii, in Cosminele commune.

This large and special place is located in Prahova and is very interesting for treasure seekers. Once upon a time, a treasure was buried here somewhere on the grounds of this place. They enchanted the treasure chest, and now evil spirits watch over it. They did this so that no one would find the treasure. It is said that the people who tried to find this treasure lost their minds. They told after that; they saw creatures with bullheads and human bodies. If you are a real treasure hunter, this is the biggest challenge, but do you have the courage to do it?

Chiajna Monastery

This place is just outside Bucharest and is easy to visit by bicycle. It is a tourist attraction, but do you dare to visit this even at night or on a full moon?

This monastery was built in 1700 and was doomed never to have a purpose. Before the church was finished, it was raided by the Turks. The Turks saw this as a fortress and wanted to obtain it. This was one of the first dark events around the church, but after this came many more. Therefore, Romanians thought the church was cursed. During this attack, the church lost its bell, but it is said that during a full moon, this bell can still be heard.

Many people died in and around the church. Because of the bubonic plague and many murders and it is said that this place is haunted.
