Praia da Ursa, Sintra

Praia da Ursa is a gorgeous 30-minute walk from Cabo da Roca, but the effort is well worth it. This little paradise is devoid of tourists and is only reachable by a hard descent along a scree-covered slope. The narrow cove, which is just about 50 meters wide, is a perfect spot to watch the sun go down in Lisbon. This beach is a great option to bring a picnic and just enjoy the stunning view that opens in front of you, which is what we advise. The waves and currents in the Atlantic are strong, so be careful if you decide to swim.

Costa da Caparica

This place is known for its wide coastline, which is divided into different beaches. Some of the beaches offer a variety of trendy bars where you can enjoy a good meal and a cold beer. It is also a great place for surfing; you can always make an appointment for a surfing class.

Praia do Guincho

It is windy, making it the ideal beach for windsurfers (as well as one of the best surfing beaches in Lisbon), but it will also please anyone looking for a less crowded beach surrounded by beautiful scenery. It is a part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and popular for its seafood eateries and golden sand dunes.

Praia dos Galapinhos

This beach was once considered Europe’s most beautiful. Everyone who comes to this place is impressed by the views of its crystal-clear waters and pristine landscape. The big advantage of the beach is that it is never crowded and the water is calm, which makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun.

Praia de Carcavelos

If you are looking for a beach that is close to the city, then you are in the right place. This is the most popular beach in the Lisbon area, located about 15 kilometers from the city center. The beach is known for its long stretch of golden sand and is a popular spot for surfing, bodyboarding, and sunbathing. It is easily accessible by train from Lisbon.

Praia de São Pedro do Estoril

This beach is another great option and is located close to Lisbon. This little beach is around 20 kilometers from Lisbon and is well-liked by families with young children because of its tranquil waters. From Lisbon, getting there by train is simple.
